Lok Sabha elections: Former India cricketers MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Kapil Dev cast votes

NEW DELHI: On Saturday, during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Ranchi, former captain of India MS Dhoni cast his ballot.

Dhoni recently competed for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. But Dhoni's CSK lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 27 runs, meaning they were unable to go to the IPL 17th season's playoffs.

Former India cricketers Gautam Gambhir, Kapil Dev, and former wrestler Babita Phogat had earlier in the day cast their ballots in their respective constituencies.

Voting for the sixth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections began early in the morning on Saturday across 58 parliamentary constituencies spread over six states and two Union Territories (UTs) amid tight security and arrangements.

The voting started at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm, with those in line by the closing time still allowed to vote.
