In 2024, the categories at the Logie Awards had a bit of a shake-up with the “Popular” and “Outstanding” categories being renamed to “Best” and will be decided on a combination of the Logies judging panel, viewing data and public votes.

At the 64th Logie Awards, only three popular categories remained, including the TV Week Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality, the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter and the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent.

This year, the Logie for the Most Popular News or Public Affairs Reporter will be in honour of 14-time Logie winner Ray Martin and he will be taking the stage to present the coveted award.

How do we vote for the Logie Awards 2025?

Punters can cast a vote for their favourite shows and actors through the official Logie Awards 2025 website HERE.

The voting kicks off today (June 16) and will remain open until 7pm AEST Friday, August 1. The only exception is the Bert Newtown Award for Most Popular Presenter, Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent and the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Reporter which will close 7:30pm AEST Sunday 3 August.

Voting for the hotly contested TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television will close Sunday 3 August at 10:30pm.

Who is hosting the Logie Awards 2025?

The 64th Logie Awards will be hosted by comedian Sam Pang, who previously hosted the awards in 2023 and 2024!

After the immense success of The Front Bar and comedy game show Have You Been Paying Attention? Sam is no stranger to a Logie. Also, I can confirm that TV WEEK readers just froth the man.

“It’s been an honour to host the last two years and I’m looking forward to again celebrating the talented people and amazing shows that combine to make the Australian television industry something everyone can be proud of,” he said, per TV WEEK.

Where are the Logies taking place?

After the roaring success of the last two years — which saw the annual event hosted in Sydney after its long-standing home on the Gold Coast — the TV WEEK Logie Awards will be taking place at The Star, Sydney.

Who is performing at the Logie Awards 2025?

The musical act for the Logie Awards 2025 hasn’t been confirmed just yet. Fingers crossed it’s Pitbull.

How to watch the Logie Awards 2025?

The Logie Awards 2025 will be available on Channel Seven. As mentioned previously, the 65th Logies will be hosted by Sam Pang and will take place on Sunday, August 3, at 7pm AEST.

So, there you have it. As far as I’m concerned, it’s time to start our Gold Logie campaign for Poh Ling Yeow.
