Loganair expands summer schedule for flights between Glasgow and Donegal

LOGANAIR has released its "biggest-ever summer schedule" for services between Glasgow and Donegal in 2024.

The brand-new schedule will begin on April 5 and run up to October and will increase the number of flights from three per week in 2023, to four per week in 2024.

The airline decided to increase the offering due to strong customer demand, as it is the only carrier offering a direct air link between the UK and Donegal.

Chief commercial officer Luke Lovegrove said: "It’s breathtaking, and we are glad the expanded service next summer will give more customers than ever the chance to see this incredible part of Ireland.

“The service will again be operated by the quieter and more comfortable ATR-42 aircraft, and will run on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays."

This decision is set to almost double the upcoming season’s passenger numbers and will boost connectivity between with Ireland.

Managing director at Donegal Airport Eilís Docherty said: “The passenger numbers in July and August 2023 confirm the continuing demand for this route, and we are delighted that Loganair will be increasing the duration and frequency of flights for 2024.

"We look forward to working with Loganair from early April next year to continue to provide direct flights between Donegal and Glasgow.”
