‘Locked in’ Rockets sign off social media for 2020 NBA playoffs

With the 2020 NBA playoffs held inside the league’s Disney World “bubble” complex in Florida, there aren’t as many potential distractions for players as there have been in previous years.

One obvious distraction candidate, of course, is social media. To eliminate that as a possibility, several members of the Rockets — including All-Star guard and former MVP Russell Westbrook — indicated Monday that they would be signing off their accounts during the playoffs.

Other Houston players to take part included Robert Covington, Danuel House Jr., and Ben McLemore. All of their messages, which can be seen in the compilation below, included the phrase “locked in,”

Tuesday’s Game 1 of the first-round series between the Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder will tip off at 5:30 p.m. Central, with a national broadcast on TNT and a regional version (with Houston announcers) on AT&T SportsNet Southwest. For subscribers, both networks will have streaming options available on their mobile apps.
