Loch Lomond Food and Drink Festival returns this weekend

Loch Lomond’s Food and Drink Festival returns for its 20th anniversary this weekend - with organisers putting on a show to mark two decades of showcasing the best Scotland has to offer.

With a great mix of food and drink – both packaged and takeaway to enjoy at the festival – as well as whisky and gin tastings, lots of chef demonstrations and workshops, kids rides and entertainment, live music and artisan craft stalls as well as all the other great things that Loch Lomond Shores has to offer, the festival is a great day out for all the family.

For 2022 organisers are pulling out all the stops with a range of exciting cooking demonstrations.

On Saturday Lomond Shores will welcome The Edinburgh School of Food and Wine, providing kids pizza-making and sushi making workshops.

Tickets for these are available in advance via Eventbrite.

On Sunday there will be cooking demonstrations from 2016 Masterchef finalist, Rohan Wadke, who now runs his own restaurant, Rohan’s Kitchen in Clarkston, Glasgow, and Luca Conreno from the award-winning La Lanterna in Glasgow’s West End – with no need to book.

Loch Lomond Whiskies will be back with their whisky and gin tasting sessions and, in honour of the event’s anniversary, they are inventing a very special new cocktail, which visitors will be able to make and try as part of the gin tasting sessions.

There will also be a great selection of global street food - including Wild Venison with their BBQ burgers and wild boar hotdogs, authentic Peruvian street food from award-winning Carlo the Peruvian, Greek olives, Baklava and Turkish delights from Meli, plus plenty of vegetarian and vegan options from the Falafal Shop, and vegan Mexican street food from Antojitos.

Artisan craft stalls will also be packed with original art, jewellery, homewares and accessories, not forgetting your four-legged friends, there will be doggy treats from Besties Dog treats, Top2tails and Suffolk Pink.

For the kids, there will be face-painting and some of the nation’s favourite Disney characters will be back for meet and greet and photo opportunities.
