Loch Lomond day trippers warned 'visit somewhere else if car parks are full'

Finding a parking space at one of Scotland's most popular day trip destinations is difficult enough without throwing in a week of pleasant weather.

Those planning on visiting Loch Lomond during the sunny period have been warned to find another place to visit if the car park is full.

It comes after some vehicles were seen blocking access, making it difficult for emergency services to access the national park.

Loch Lomond is part of The Trossachs National Park and is home to spectacular scenery, with huge groups making the trip to the area when the warm weather arrives.

Just over 34 miles away from Glasgow, it is an ideal place for parent's to take their little ones for a day trip or to take part in one of the stunning walks.

But if you're driving there and find there's no parking spots available, you've been advised to go elsewhere.

The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs yesterday (May 29) tweeted: "Car parks across the National Park are especially busy today.

"If a car park is full, please find another place to visit and don’t block access.

"Blocking access is not only frustrating for others, but could also mean emergency services may not be able to get through."
