Liverpool XI vs Bournemouth: Arthur in - Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest today

Arthur Melo has made a Liverpool squad for the first time since October after being named on the bench for today’s trip to Bournemouth.

The Brazilian has struggled with a serious thigh injury during his loan stint on Merseyside but is fit to feature on the South Coast as Jurgen Klopp makes one change. Stefan Bajcetic comes in for Jordan Henderson.

Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah all start after helping themselves to braces as the Reds put on a stunning second-half display against Manchester United last weekend, raising expectations ahead of their trip to the South Coast.

Naby Keita is nearing a return to fitness but misses out. Joe Gomez, Arthur Melo, Thiago Alcantara, Calvin Ramsay and Luis Diaz are all out long-term.

Speaking about Thiago, Diaz and Gomez on Friday, Klopp said: “All three not available.

“Different stages I would say. Joey might be able to train at the beginning of the week; Luis I hope during next week. After the international break, then obviously for both [it's] possible.

“Thiago we will see. None of them trained yet with the team and we will see how that develops in the couple of weeks and we will know more.

“Apart from that, from the last game nothing [new] that I heard about.”

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Elliott, Fabinho, Bajcetic; Salah, Gakpo, Nunez.

Subs: Adrian, Firmino, Milner, Henderson, Jota, Tsimikas, Carvalho, Arthur, Matip.
