Liverpool white away kit 2019-20: Sadio Mane and stars model new strip

Liverpool have released their away kit for the 2019-20 season, which features a rare outing for the colour blue.

The New Balance strip, comprising a white shirt with red trim and navy shirts, is said to be inspired by the street signs around Anfield.

Meanwhile, its neck design is a nod to the club's first ever European Cup triumph in 1977 - a well-timed tribute in the aftermath of a sixth success in Madrid.

The signature of the manager that day, Bob Paisley, is printed inside the collar in the year he would have turned 100 years old.

Virgil van Dijk said of the strip: “Liverpool Football Club is my club - I’m proud to wear the shirt every single day when I walk out on to the pitch, when we’re at Anfield and also when we’re playing away from home.

“The signature tribute in the shirt is also a fantastic way to recognise and remember all the success of one of our greatest managers, Bob Paisley.”
