Liverpool is in for a gloomy start but the rain should make way for sunshine in Liverpool and Merseyside today - according to the Met Office .
Rain has already beoing falling this morning and there is a 90% chance it will continue this morning the weather experts say.
However by 9am light rain should clear and although cloudy it is expected to be dry.
And overall today should not see too much rain in Liverpool and across Merseyside.
The Met Office say: "Most places will stay dry today with warm sunny spells. However, there could be the odd shower where the cloud thickens in the south of the region. Maximum temperature 17 °C."
Tonight:
Dry overnight with partly cloudy skies. A chance of a few mist and fog patches forming under any clear spells. Minimum temperature 4 °C.
