Liverpool vs Huddersfield line-ups: Confirmed XIs and latest team news

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is in the Liverpool squad for the first time this season against Huddersfield tonight.

The England international is named among the subs after a lengthy layoff caused by a serious knee injury suffered last April.

Roberto Firmino misses out due to a minor knock, one you suspect won't be serious enough to rule him out against Barcelona next week, with Daniel Sturridge into replace him up front.

Joel Matip is rested with Dejan Lovren into replace him at centre-half.

Liverpool starting XI: Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Keita, Salah, Sturridge, Mane.

Subs: Milner, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Shaqiri, Origi, Matip.

Raheem Sterling: Nobody wants Liverpool to win the title

Huddersfield's Aaron Mooy misses out after sustaining a knock in last week's home defeat to Watford and will be assessed, but winger Adama Diakhaby is back in contention after a hamstring injury.

Jonas Lossl will retain his place in goal as Ben Hamer is still struggling with a knock. Striker Laurent Depoitre (foot) is still unavailable.

Huddersfield team to face Liverpool: Lossl, Smith, Schindler, Kongolo, Durm, Stankovic, Ahearne-Grant, Bacuna, Hogg, Mbenza, Mounie.

Subs: Kachunga, Diakhaby, Coleman, Lowe, Pritchard, Jorgensen, Daly.
