Liverpool vs Brighton: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds

Liverpool welcome Brighton to Anfield in the Premier League this weekend - (ES Composite)

Liverpool will look to build on a positive midweek result as they host Brighton on Saturday.

The Reds, who were denied all three points by an injury time equaliser away at Leeds last Saturday, recorded a huge victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The win in the San Siro was achieved without Mohamed Salah after he was left out of the squad for his outburst after being left on the bench at Elland Road.

As a result, the build-up to the Brighton fixture has been dominated by Salah and whether he will be recalled by Arne Slot for a final game before heading off for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Seagulls, meanwhile, have consistenly been inconsistent this season. They did win their last away game - against Nottingham Forest - but followed that up by taking one point from a possible six in home fixtures with Aston Villa and West Ham.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game…

Date, kick-off time and venue

Liverpool vs Brighton is scheduled for a 3pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

The match will take place at Anfield.

Liverpool vs Brighton team news

It has been reported that Salah will not feature against Brighton, though the forward has said he will be at Anfield to bid farewell to supporters before AFCON duty.

Slot is expected to provide a defintive answer on the status of the Liverpool No11 when he addresses the media in the pre-match press conference.

Elsewhere, Federico Chiesa is expected to be available for selection after missing the win over Inter through illness. Cody Gakpo is absent again after picking up an injury during the draw with Leeds.

Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike started together in Milan on Tuesday night, so could get another opportunity to work on their partnership. Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Conor Bradley are all pushing for recalls.

As for Brighton, James Milner could return from injury against his former club while Kaoru Mitoma and Yasin Ayari may also feature at Anfield.

Carlos Baleba plays his final game before AFCON duty but Adam Webster is a long-term absentee and the match comes too soon for Solly March to make his comeback.

Liverpool vs Brighton prediction

Due to the noise surrounding Salah’s absence, it has somewhat been lost that Liverpool secured a big result against Inter Milan.

A clean sheet should do Slot’s side the world of good. But, as seen on many occasions this season, it could be a false dawn from the reigning Premier League champions.

Anfield is no longer the fortress it once was with Liverpool failing to win any of their last three home games - losing two of them by a three-goal margin - and we think the visitors can get something here.

Draw, 2-2.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

The two sides met three times across all competitions last season, Liverpool won two of those, including the corresponding fixture in the Premier League where Salah inspired a comeback victory.
