The January transfer window is now open and Liverpool are currently a depleted squad as they face three cup games this month.
First up is the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal on Thursday night with League One's Shrewsbury Town to follow in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes the Villareal man would fit in well with Liverpool's style of play and has been 'really impressed' with his performances in Spain.
According to Fabrizio Romano last Tuesday, Liverpool “really love” the player but will find it “impossible” to sign him in January.
Villarreal have no intention of selling their star forward in the middle of the season.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the interest, Robinson said: “I have been really impressed with him at Villarreal."

"It’s only my gut feeling – I think Aston Villa will go for one big Liverpool player, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Firmino left and went to Villa," Cascarino told talkSPORT.
