Liverpool transfer round-up: Jordan Henderson to mull offer as Jurgen Klopp could lose duo

There's just a month to go until the start of the 2023-24 Premier League season, though Liverpool have a little longer to wait.

The Reds begin their new season on August 13, travelling to Chelsea, and could hand debuts to Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister after sealing deals for the pair. Further deals are expected, though, with jurgen Klopp's squad set for a continued refresh.

Liverpool have welcomed a few players back to training ahead of their pre-season friendlies, and more could join them in the days and weeks to come. Here are the latest transfer lines from around Anfield.

Henderson 'receives' Saudi offer

Al Ettifaq are keen on Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, according to L'Equipe (via Get French Football News). The Saudi club are managed by former Reds skipper Steven Gerrard, who spent a number of years with Henderson at Anfield.

Henderson has reportedly received an offer from the club, who finished seventh in the Saudi Pro League last season. However, he is said to have not yet made a decision on the approach.

The long-serving midfielder still has two years remaining on his Liverpool contract. Henderson isn't the only Premier League star linked with Gerrard's side, who have also been mentioned in connection with Wilfried Zaha after the Ivorian's Crystal Palace exit.

Galatasaray target Thiago

Henderson isn't the only in-demand Liverpool midfielder this summer. Thiago Alcantara is entering the final year of his contract, and Fanatik (via Goal) reports that Galatasaray are keen on the former Bayern Munich star.

Galatasaray's vice president has reportedly made a "very good offer" to the Spanish international. However, Liverpool are not understood to have received an official bid.

Thiago, who has struggled with injuries during his time at Liverpool, has also been the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League. However, Turkish champions Galatasaray could offer him Champions League football - though only if they come through a number of qualifying rounds.

Colwill not for sale

Chelsea are in no mood to let Liverpool-linked Levi Colwill leave the club. Indeed, according to CBS Sports, they are ready to offer the England under-21 star a new deal.

Colwill spent last season on loan at Brighton, impressing in the second half of the season under Roberto De Zerbi. After starring in the Under-21 Euros, where England went all the way without conceding a single goal, he is due to return to his parent club for pre-season.

The 20-year-old is expected to seek reassurances over his future, with a meeting with manager Mauricio Pochettino lined up. Were he to push for an exit, though, Liverpool would still face competition from a Brighton side who have already seen one permanent approach knocked back.
