A Liverpool tour has been named among the spookiest in the UK, according to TripAdvisor.
The popular Hidden History and Dead House Walking Tour was named alongside other haunted tours and walks across the country, including several in London.
The tour, from Shiverpool, allows people to join an eerie spirit guide who “exposes the city’s very darkest secrets”. Visitors can listen to tales of slavery, plague, cholera, and slums and discover the Dead House, which is entered through a trapdoor.

During the tour, visitors can discover the banking halls of Castle Street and the lamp-lit alleys around the commercial district, as well as the hidden corners that once concealed Confederate headquarters during America’s Civil War.
Among the other tours named as the spookiest in the UK are Serial Killers: The Blood and Tears Walk in London, Shrewsbury Prison Guided Tour and The Deathly Dark Ghost Tour of York.
The Hidden History and Dead House Walking Tour lasts 1h 30m and visitors are encouraged to wear weather-appropriate clothing.
