'I strongly suspect' - Liverpool told they will beat Manchester United to signing of Jude Bellingham

Liverpool have been tipped to beat Manchester United to the signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023.

Former England international Paul Robinson believes the Reds would be a "great fit" for the 19-year-old and thinks Jurgen Klopp will beat Erik ten Hag to the signing of one of Europe's most sought-after midfielders.

Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenburg highlighted how both Liverpool and United have a "good chance" in making Bellingham their next star signing, but Real Madrid are also rumoured to be interested.

Robinson was asked by Football Insider whether Anfield or Old Trafford would be a more likely destination for the England man in the summer.

"He just fits in at Liverpool. The way that he plays and the system Klopp plays, it is a great fit," he said.

Bellingham is an incredibly talented footballer. He still has his best years ahead of him. He already has an unbelievable reputation. His charisma on the ball is something special. I love watching him.

“To achieve what he has at such a young age is remarkable. I think he has been really clever with how he has managed his career and his career path.

“It is only a matter of time before he returns to England. I strongly suspect he will move to Liverpool because of the way they play. It suits him.”
