Liverpool team news confirmed as one change made to line up for Real Madrid

Sadio Mane returns in place of Diogo Jota as Liverpool host Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Jota was named in the starting XI for Saturday's 2-1 win against Aston Villa but drops out of the side in favour of Mane as Jurgen Klopp makes just one change from the weekend's game.

That means James Milner will captain the side in midfield alongside Gini Wijnaldum and Fabinho, with Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita on the bench with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Klopp once more names an unchanged back five with Alisson Becker in goal behind Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ozan Kabak, Nat Phillips and Andy Robertson.

The Reds are aiming to overturn a 3-1 deficit from last week in the Spanish capital as Chelsea await the winners in the last four.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Milner, Salah, Mane, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, H. Davies, Thiago, Jota, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, B. Davies, R. Williams, Cain, Clarkson.
