Liverpool’s best Irish pubs have been named by people that know them best - the regulars.
As the city comes together to celebrate the most Irish day of the year, we asked ECHO readers about their favourite Irish pubs in Liverpool, and they weren’t shy about letting us know.
From Lanigans to the Liffey, Liverpool has many much-loved Irish pubs known for their great drinks, atmosphere and traditional settings. Whether it's a pub serving the best pint of Guinness or somewhere that showcases great live music, there’s something for everyone.

St Patrick's Day is the celebration of the patron saint of Ireland and is celebrated annually. This year's celebrations included a huge St Patrick’s Day parade returning to the city centre for the first time in three years.
According to our readers, Liverpool’s best Irish pub is The Irish House on Ranelagh Street, with Dirty O’Sheas on Seel Street coming in at a close second, followed by Tithebarn Street favourite Shenanigans at number three.
About their favourite, The Irish House, one person said: “Class craic, cheap booze, loads of fantastic live acts”. A second wrote: “Great service, nice pints and great live music”.
Another added:”The staff are lovely and the craic is always good. Has good music every day of the week and since Covid it has got better and better”.
