Liverpool are a step nearer to discovering which teams they could face in the Champions League group stage.
The draw for the 32-team first phase takes place in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Thursday, August 26 at 5pm UK time.
Jurgen Klopp's side already know they are seeded in Pot 2 as one of 26 teams to have automatically qualified for the group stage.
The remaining six places are decided via the play-offs through one of two routes - four from the Champions Path, which contains only league winners not to have been given a direct berth to the group stage, and two from the League Path, which is for clubs who finished in lower positions in their respective leagues.
And the first legs of those play-offs, which took place this week, have offered few clues as to who could progress.
The one comprehensive victor was Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova, who thumped Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 at home. Malmo, who knocked out Steven Gerrard's Rangers in the previous round, are the only other team to have more than a one-goal advantage having beaten Ludogorets 2-0.
Salzburg lead Brondby 2-1, Young Boys defeated Ferencvaros 3-2, Benfica overcame PSV Eindhoven 2-1 while Shakhtar Donetsk were the only away winners with a 1-0 triumph at Monaco.
With the away goals rule abolished, penalties will be required should the aggregate scores remain level after extra time of the second legs, which take place next Tuesday and Wednesday.
All six qualifiers will be potential opponents for Liverpool in the group stage, with Shakhtar, Salzburg and Benfica on course to join Pot 3 and Sheriff Tiraspol, Malmo and Young Boys in Pot 4.
The Reds will be drawn alongside one of the top seeds in Pot 1, with Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Lille or Sporting Lisbon potential opponents. They cannot face Premier League rivals Manchester City or Chelsea.
And they will also not face any of the other teams in Pot 2, which consists of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund.
FC Porto, Ajax, RB Leipzig, Atalanta, Zenit St Petersburg, Besiktas, Dinamo Kiev, Bruges, AC Milan and Wolfsburg are the other automatic qualifiers.
