Ben Doak has confirmed his summer move to Liverpool, with the 16-year-old joining the Reds from Scottish giants Celtic.
The ECHO reported last month Liverpool were close to agreeing a compensation package with the Hoops to bring the Scotland youth international to Anfield, with reports later claiming the Reds will pay £600k for the midfielder. While the club are yet to confirm the deal, the teenager was also pictured posing with a shirt in the club’s dressing room at the time.
Doak, who hadn’t agreed professional terms with Celtic, became the Hoops' second-youngest ever debutant, behind only Jack Aitchison, when handed his senior debut by Ange Postecoglou against Dundee United back in January. However, he hasn’t been included in a first-team squad since featuring as a late substitute against Rangers in February, having decided to leave the club, with his involvement partly a late attempt to persuade him to stay with the Scottish giants.

And now the teenager has taken to social media to confirm his move to Anfield, posting a picture of him signing his contract at the AXA training centre. Tagging in Liverpool, on Instagram, he wrote: "Looking forward to a new chapter."
Doak is unlikely to be thrown straight into Jurgen Klopp ’s first team due to his tender years, and is expected to instead start his Reds career in the club’s youth ranks.
