The club went to the High Court and won a battle with New Balance to end their seven-year brand agreement early in favour of a bumper deal with sportswear giant Nike.
The New Balance contract is set to expire on May 31, meaning Liverpool are pondering a mid-season switch to Nike as the new season looks certain to extend beyond the usual June 1 cut-off.
One fan has mocked up a concept home kit; an all-red design with a collar and white trim.
