Liverpool 'interested' in Bayern Munich starlet Jamal Musiala but face 'no topic' problem

Liverpool have been linked with a surprise move for one of Bayern Munich’s most prized talents.

The transfer window has been closed for several weeks and is not due to open again until the New Year. Despite this, the Reds continue to be rumoured with potential new signings either in January or next summer.

One of those is Bayern starlet Jamal Musiala. The 19-year-old has been credited as a possible target for Liverpool in the future.

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool are interested in signing Musiala. However, there appears to be a problem with any possible deal.

The report says that while the Reds are interested in the midfielder, they are not the only ones. It has been stated that “other top clubs” in the world are also said to be interested in Musiala, although none are named.

More bad news from the report states that despite Liverpool’s reported interest, the chance of Musiala leaving Munich is a “no topic”. It has also been stated that the player does not want to leave Bayern and is deemed “not for sale” by the Bundesliga giants.

Musiala signed for Bayern in the summer of 2019 from Chelsea and has gone on to become a key player for the German champions. He signed a new contract in March 2021 which keeps him in Munich until 2026, which reportedly sees him earn £4.3million per season.
