Liverpool injury update: Andrew Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Stefan Bajcetic latest news and return dates

Liverpool have been handed a fresh injury blow during the international break.

Andrew Robertson went off during Scotland’s defeat in Spain with a painful-looking shoulder problem.

The left-back joins Cody Gakpo and Stefan Bajcetic in being labelled a doubt for the upcoming Merseyside derby against Everton.

Thiago Alcantara is another player on the comeback trail while Caoimhin Kelleher has recently suffered an injury.

Here is your latest update of Liverpool injuries and return dates...

Andrew Robertson

Liverpool are sweating over Robertson after he returned from Scotland duty early due to a shoulder injury, leaving him a major doubt to face Everton pending the results of their inquiries.

“Obviously he’s hurt his shoulder,” said Scotland boss Steve Clarke. “We’ll have a look, [he’ll] obviously go back to his club.”

Cody Gakpo

The Liverpool forward has returned to training with the squad which could put him in contention to face Everton.

Gakpo missed the club's last two matches - plus Netherlands' games - with a knee injury sustained in the controversial defeat at Tottenham.

However, the 24-year-old was involved in ball work with his team-mates as the squad reassembled at the club's training complex.

Stefan Bajcetic

After a number of months out, young midfielder Bajcetic saw his return cut short after only one appearance due to a fresh problem.

Liverpool hope to have him back after the internationals but that is perhaps in hope rather than expectation.

Thiago Alcantara

Klopp recently confirmed a second setback in Thiago’s comeback from a hip injury, although his fresh problem is not an aggravation of the original injury.

While the midfielder remains in light training, given the setback was “annoying” but “not massive”, it remains to be seen how long he will be out for.

Caoimhin Kelleher

A training ground injury kept Kelleher out of Liverpool’s two final games before the break, as well as the goalkeeper’s Republic of Ireland duty.

National team boss Stephen Kenny remarked Kelleher required 12 stitches on his knee, leaving his return for Everton in doubt.
