Liverpool 'identify' potential Sadio Mane replacement as rumoured target hints at move

The transfer rumours are starting to intensify now the season has come to a close. Liverpool's plans are starting to take shape, having already confirmed the signing of Fabio Carvalho from Fulham.

Sadio Mane is among the players being linked with a move away from Anfield this summer but any departures would suggest incomings are likely over the coming weeks.

Here's a round-up of all the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours from around the globe.

Who?

Martin Terrier.

The Mirror.

What?

Liverpool are 'tracking' Rennes forward Martin Terrier as they consider replacements for Mane, according to recent reports.

The Reds are said to be braced for contact from Bayern Munich over a potential move for the Senegal international, but a deal will only be sanctioned should they sign a replacement. Cue the list of names starting to emerge in the headlines.

The Mirror claim Liverpool are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old French forward, who scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 over the course of last season. The player is uncapped at senior level for his national side and is relatively unknown compared to the other big names linked with a move to Anfield, but the report claims this could play in Liverpool's favour.

Darwin Nunez.

What?

Liverpool are 'ready' to fend off competition to sign Benfica star Darwin Nunez, according to reports in Portugal.

The 22-year-old has been linked with various European clubs, including the Reds, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain and he could be on the move this summer. The report from the Portuguese outlet suggests Liverpool will do 'everything possible' to sign the Uruguay international.

Should the club lose Mane in the coming weeks, Nunez is among the names to emerge as a potential replacement. However, the report adds that Benfica could be looking for a fee in the region of £85 million to part ways with the player.

Who?

Konrad Laimer.

Where?

Sky in Austria.

What?

Rumoured Liverpool target Konrad Laimer has hinted he could be on the move this summer in a recent interview with Sky Sports Austria.

The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Anfield earlier this month with German outlet Kicker suggesting both Liverpool and Tottenham were keen on the player. The Leipzig star has now hinted he could be on the move.

“It is quite possible that I will no longer play in Leipzig next season,” Laimer told Sky.. “It’s a phase where you think about your future. I’m concentrating on the national team now. After that I will sit down and talk to my closest and see what the best possible next step is for me."

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have also been heavily linked, although recent reports suggest the €20-25 million asking price is too much.
