Liverpool commence their Premier League title defence with a home game against Bournemouth.
Arne Slot lifted the title in his debut season in the English top flight, finishing a remarkable 10 points clear of second-placed Arsenal.
The Dutchman has since tied down two of his star players from last term’s triumph, with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah committing their futures to the club.
However, one player they will have to go without is Trent Alexander-Arnold, who opted to leave his boyhood club for Real Madrid after two decades on Merseyside.
The Reds’ first real test comes in their second game as they face Newcastle away from home in a repeat of last season’s Carabao Cup final. It is part of a tough opening run for them as they also host Arsenal in gameweek three. They meet Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on November 8, and again on February 7.
The first meeting of the season between Liverpool and Manchester United will take place on October 18 at Anfield, before they do it all again on May 2, 2026 at Old Trafford. Liverpool take on Merseyside rivals Everton on September 20, with their first trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on April 18, 2026.
The busy Christmas period will see Liverpool welcome Wolves to Anfield the day after Boxing Day before hosting Leeds to round off the calendar and into 2026. The season concludes at home to Brentford.
