Manchester City supporters have hammered Phil Thompson after his comparison following Liverpool's Champions League parade on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp's side returned to Liverpool a day after their European success as they paraded their sixth Champions League victory, their first trophy under the German coach.
It was a day of celebration for the Premier League runners up as they ensured their phenomenal season was marked with some silverware, however Liverpool legend Thompson used the celebrations as an opportunity to aim a dig at City.
Thousands of Liverpool fans attended the parade over the weekend and Thompson couldn't help himself from trying to make fun of City's level of support. He tweeted: "Pep, Man City now that’s a parade!!"
The day should have been all about Liverpool, however City fans were left baffled by the fact their club was even being talked about on the day.
