It is pretty safe to say that everyone associated with Liverpool is excited at the prospect of seeing Thiago Alcantara in a Reds shirt.
After months of speculation, the 29-year-old officially arrived at Anfield on Friday to sign a four-year deal with Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Thiago brings a wealth of experience and talent to Merseyside, helping Bayern Munich to seven Bundesliga titles, a handful of DFB Pokal cups and the Champions League last month.
Klopp will be hoping that Thiago will bring such success to Anfield, with the German not hiding his excitement after the Reds acquired the Spaniard’s services.
Players, staff and fans will be looking forward to seeing Thiago inaction, as will a former Liverpool player.
Lucas Leiva, who left Anfield in 2017 to sign for Lazio, also appears to be excited at the prospect of seeing Thiago in a Reds shirt.
The Brazilian, who enjoyed 10 years at Anfield, commented on an Instagram post by the club which referred to the new signing.
The club’s post showed a video of Thiago being announced as a Liverpool player, where at the end the new signing signing turned to the camera and said: “How are we?”
Lucas, still keeping the club close to his heart, simply replied: “Is right lad”.
The 33-year-old looks to be keeping tabs on how his former club are doing and, like the vast majority of Liverpool fans, is looking forward to seeing Thiago take to the pitch at Anfield.
