Liverpool fans sent droll update on NI teenager Conor Bradley following latest Bolton goal

Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt provided an upbeat update to Liverpool fans after on-loan teenager Conor Bradley scored the winner in Tuesday night’s 1-0 win over Morecambe.

Bradley made it two goals in two home games for the Trotters when he pounced for the only goal of the League One clash six minutes before the half-time break.

The 19-year-old, who has been capped eight times by Northern Ireland, was also on target in last week’s 5-1 win over Salford in the first round of the EFL Cup.

It was another vibrant performance from Bradley who joined Bolton on a season long loan from Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool last month. And his latest headline moment prompted Evatt to send a droll message to interested onlookers back at Anfield.

“He is doing OK if anyone from Liverpool is listening,” joked the Bolton boss, who watched the game from the stand after his touchline dismissal during Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Port Vale.

“He is a wonderful young man and I am not surprised by his performance. For me, it’s just his character; he loves football and wants to learn. He goes from strength to strength.”

Bolton, flying high in League One, had struggled to break down Morecambe until Bradley fired them into the lead in the 39th minute.

Elias Kachunga and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson were both involved in the build-up before Bradley swiveled to fire home from six yards out after Bodvarsson’s initial shot was blocked.

The narrow victory made it four games unbeaten for Bolton who are fourth in the League One table, just two points off early leaders Ipswich Town.

On his Instagram account, Bradley posted a photograph of his goal with the message: “Big three points. Still unbeaten. First league goal.”
