Liverpool fans hijack Thiago Alcantara Twitter post with Philippe Coutinho message

Liverpool fans have hijacked a social media post from Thiago Alcantara involving Philippe Coutinho.

January 2018 saw Coutinho leave Anfield to join Barcelona in a £142m deal, but things have not gone to plan for the Brazilian.

The 28-year-old has made 90 appearances for the La Liga outfit, scoring 23 goals, but that doesn’t tell the full story.

In the summer of 2019, Coutinho was loaned out to Bayern Munich where he linked up with Thiago.

Coutinho helped Bayern win the Bundesliga and the Champions League, scoring against parent-club Barca in the semi-final.

Thiago posted on Twitter a photo of himself and Coutinho with a message wishing the former Reds playmaker a happy birthday.

“Yesterday was the birthday of this special person! Congratulations my brother,” Thiago wrote.

Plenty of Liverpool fans, seeing Thiago’s post, responded with very similar messages about Coutinho.

Here is what they had to say.

Andrew Quinn: “Thiago do us a favour, convince Klopp to bring him home.”

LFCTanmay: “Bring him home hermano.”

Jason: “Link up next season.”

Joseph Okeke: “Liverpool should forgive him and bring him back.”

RumzL: “Agent Thiago doing his thing...bring him home.”

Ian Cleere: “Put him in your suitcase and bring him home.”

WestNiler1: “Tell him to come back home.”
