Liverpool fans have been reacting on social media after Gary Lineker took aim at the Reds following Manchester City's shock defeat by Wolves.
A second half brace from Adama Traoré handed Nuno Espírito Santo's side a 2-0 win at the Etihad, leaving Liverpool eight points clear at the top of the table heading into the international break.
And following the game, the Match of the Day host took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the title race.
The former Everton forward tweeted: "Surely it's Liverpool's title now. It's not like they've given up substantial leads before."
The tweet comes after Liverpool failed to land last season's Premier League title despite being seven points clear of City ahead of their January meeting at the Etihad.
And despite the Reds managing to secure a club record 97 points, they were piped to the crown on the final day of the campaign after Pep Guardiola's side came from behind to Brighton.
But Reds fans reacting to the tweet have accused the former England captain of being bitter.
