Liverpool bar with breathtaking views of the city plans weekly rooftop parties from July 4

A city centre bar is set to host weekly rooftop parties offering guests breathtaking views of the city.

Following Tuesday's announcement in which the Prime Minister gave the green light for bars, pubs and restaurants to reopen from July 4 providing they are "Covid-secure" Liverpool's Liberte bar has made plans for when it opens again.

Its team took to its Instagram to announce the news and said: "Party Announcement. Spectrum Summer of Love Summer Party Series lands on 4th July!!! With Dates throughout July & August this will be (flame emoji)

"Social distancing will be in place and will be a table service only!!"

The parties will be held every Saturday throughout July and August with tickets available here.

All pubs and bars have been closed since March when Boris Johnson ordered the country-wide lockdown so it's not surprising to see how much excitement Liberte's announcement has caused with many dates already sold out.

The event is being praised as 'saving the summer' with many people quick to leave comments underneath the post. One user said: "Can we do one Saturday please. At least make one memory drinking before the summer is over!"

Another said: "We need to do this!!"

Bookings can be made by tables only, with each table costing £162.29 between six people.
