Liverpool attraction gaining rave reviews on TripAdvisor you may have walked right past

The Quirky Quarter makes for the perfect day out for everyone from friends and families to a fun-filled date night.

Based near the Chinese Arch at the top of Duke Street, the tourist attraction offers visitors a medley on interactive experiences and brain-stimulating workouts as well as puzzling challenges and oddball photo opportunities so don’t forget to bring the camera.

Found in the basement of a student accommodation block, visitors can expect upside down rooms, mirror mazes and 3D and optical illusions.

Paul Rose, a spokesperson for the Quirky Quarter teased: "Being such a new business and opening just six weeks before the first lockdown we needed to establish ourselves first.

"Having said that, we have lots of new ideas that we can’t wait to introduce. The space was designed to be able to refresh a zone without much disruption to the overall experience."

It is the first of its kind for the city and brings a completely new and fresh concept to Liverpool.

One TripAdvisor user said: “We happened to be walking along Duke Street and noticed the eye-catching window display. We couldn't simply walk past, so popped in and so glad we did. About an hour later we came out with big smiles from all the unexpected and hidden gems inside - really makes your brain work and look at things in a different light.”

Another added: “Interactive experience, with lots to do. No clues, it is not all that it seems either, there is lots of space and ample time to use the activities. It took us about an hour and a half to get round. Great for people with disabilities as there are no stairs to negotiate. All on one floor and it is huge.”

The Quarter is aimed at all ages, wheelchair friendly and opened Tuesday to Sunday from 11am – 8pm.

Last entry is 7pm and as the company is continuing with timed entry slots to help with social distancing, they would ask visitors to double-check available times online prior to visiting.
