The Reds legend was appointed Villa boss last week as he left Glasgow Rangers to replace Dean Smith.
Gerrard’s first game in charge saw his new club take on Brighton at Villa Park, a game that Villa won 2-0 thanks to two late goals.
Liverpool fans took to social media to react to Gerrard getting his first in his debut match in charge of Villa.
After a goalless first half, goals from Ollie Watkins and Tyrone Mings in the closing stages secured Gerrard his debut win in his first match in charge.
On top of that, Villa fans could not hide their delight when giving their verdict to Gerrard’s first match.
Gerrard is due to reunite with Liverpool on December 11 when he takes his Aston Villa team to Anfield in the Premier League.
