Live updates as tram collision in Nottingham sparks delays across city

Major delays are expected across the entire tram network following a collision.

Tram services have been delayed between The Forest Rec and Old Market Square stops on Tuesday, July 15.

NET tweeted that there was no service between The Forest and Old Market Square, affecting all services.

This is one of the major routes into the city centre.

NET have now confirmed: "We are now running through to all destinations with delays. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a tram in Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, at 2.30pm today.

"A 60-year-old man has been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre.

"The tram line was closed but has now reopened.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 467 of 15 June."
