Live at the Edinburgh Festival: Richard Herring and Jo Caulfield

Miles Jupp entertains another gang of gagsmiths, starting with CBeebies favourite Chris McCausland whose new show is about a luckless chap struck by lightning seven times.

New Zealand comic Jarred Christmas stands up next with routines about whispering … and emus. The Penny Dreadfuls go one better, with a sketch about, among other things, a giant squid.

Jo Caulfield tells Miles why she won't shut up – and why you might not want to share a flat with her. Then there's a frighteningly funny encounter with character comedian Maggie Service and an emotional return for Radio 4 rapper (yes, you read that right), Doc Brown.

Finally, Richard Herring shows Miles his Hitler – or "toothbrush" – moustache and revisits the "new offenders" debate. Richard talks about putting his routine together and performs an excerpt from the show.

If you're in Edinburgh, we want to see you! Make sure you come to one of our recordings, every weekday at noon at the Gilded Balloon, Teviot Square. Entrance is free but you need a ticket - go to the Fringe box office, or the venue, or call 0131-622 6552.
