Little sister, 13, gives 'best wedding speech ever' saying bride is 'not her problem'

A cheeky little sister gave the "best wedding speech ever" saying the bride is "not her problem" anymore.

Irelyn Johnson left guests and family howling with laughter with her impressive rap skills during the wedding of her sister, Sierra Lipinski that took place in Temecula, California.

Sierra, who works as a realtor, was expecting an "emotional tribute" from her little sister, who was also the maid of honour.

However, she was in for a shock when Irelyn began performing a rap to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme tune and MC Hammer's Can't Touch This.

The viral video shows Irelyn channelling her inner performer and rapping about how Sierra and her husband Michael Lipinski, 28, became the "perfect pair," but it wasn't all sweet.

The young dancer ends one line by joking "now she's Michael's problem, and we [her family] don't care."

Sierra was left in hysterics, and she said the surprise speech was a moment she'll "never forget" and joked she'd need a few drinks to pull off something similar.

Irelyn said she spent a week writing the script and six months practising the performance to make sure her speech wasn't "boring."

Sierra, who lived with Irelyn for ten years, says they have a "super close" relationship, and Michael, who treats Irelyn "like his own sister," was in shock too.

They both told the 13-year-old her performance was "awesome" once she'd finished.

Sierra posted the video to TikTok, and it's since been liked more than 1.5 million times, with users hailing it as "the best maid of honour speech ever."

One user commented: "The confidence needed to have a crack at this is impressive," while another added, "Best speech! Your sister will remember it her whole life."

In an interview with a local news outlet, Sierra said she was thinking, "oh my god, what is happening" when Irelyn started rapping. "It was probably one of the best parts of my wedding day. I'll never forget it."

She also revealed that she had no idea about the surprise and that Irelyn had been practising for six months straight.

"I was expecting to cry a little bit and for it to be a sentimental speech. I wasn't expecting a rap at all," Sierra said.

"My favourite part was when she said 'she's Michael's problem and we don't care'. We watched Fresh Prince of Bel-Air together when we were young. Afterwards, I was just in shock. My mouth was wide open. I couldn't believe it."

Irelyn said she wanted to do something sweet, funny, and something everyone would remember.

"I was thinking of doing it before she even knew she was getting engaged. It took me a little less than a week to write it, but then I had to memorise it," she said.

"It's one of the first things I've done in front of a big crowd, and it's raised my confidence a bit."

Sierra and Michael got married on September 10, 2022, and it's safe to say that Irelyn's performance will be remembered for a long time.
