Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall stops performance to help 'ill and anxious' fan during tour

Jade Thirlwall helped out an "ill and anxious" fan who was struggling in the crowd of a Little Mix concert in Dublin on Tuesday night, after the band kicked off their final tour, Confetti.

The singer, 29, was performing alongside her bandmates Perrie Edwards, 28, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 30, at the 3Arena when she stopped after seeing a girl in the crowd struggling.

Videos posted by fan accounts on Twitter showed the trio singing Only You, before Jade stopped to tell the crowd to not jump so medics could reach the fan.

She told the crowd: "I just want everybody in this area to be still and let this girl get sorted out so she's well."

Jade told the rest of the audience they could dance along, commenting: "Everybody else you can jump." She was later seen waving at the area where the fan had been.

It's unclear what was wrong, though others attendees are said to have reported that she looked "ill and anxious" as the crowd jumped to the beat of the song, according to Dublin Live.

One fan - who shared footage of the moment on their account @perriefthes - wrote: "Jade asking some people to stay still during Only You because a girl was in trouble in the crowd."

The Confetti Tour began at the SSE Arena in Belfast last week, with the band set to perform in Dublin again tonight before heading to parts of England, Wales and Scotland.

They'll perform in Newcastle, Liverpool and Sheffield over the next week, before visiting Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester, Nottingham and London.

The tour - which comes following the release of their sixth studio album Confetti two years ago - had been originally scheduled for 2021 but postponed due to Covid.

The band said in a statement at the time they were "so sad" to announce that the tour had been postponed amid concerns over the pandemic, with dates rescheduled.

Little Mix said in a post on social media: "Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic we must prioritise the safety of our fans and crew and help to stop the spread."

"You know how much we love being on the road and performing every night for you all. [...] We can't wait to see you when it is safe to do so," they further said to their fans.
