ST. LOUIS _ After a strong two-game road trip to Ontario, the Blues fell flat at home to the NHL's worst team Saturday before a sellout crowd of 19,235 at Scottrade Center.
Spotting the Arizona Coyotes a 4-0 lead in the first period, the Blues lost 5-2 in what was a lackluster performance. After falling behind 5-0 in the second period, the Blues actually mustered a couple of power-play goals _ by Brayden Schenn and the Alexander Steen.
But it was another embarrassing home loss for the Blues (28-18-3), who lost 7-4 to Florida in their previous home game before the bye. It was only the 11th victory in 48 games for the Coyotes (11-28-9) this season.
Christian Dvorak scored two goals for the Coyotes, who got one goal apiece from Zac Rinaldo, Brendan Perlini and Christian Fischer.
