Listen To CFMoto's New V4 Superbike Hit the Track For the First Time

CFMoto's V4 SR-RR basically broke the internet when it debuted at EICMA last year. It was, and still is, freakin' wild. There are diveplanes everywhere, titanium and carbon fiber make up much of the construction, slick tires, and the statement of all statements, a bespoke V4 engine making over 200 horsepower. It's CFMoto's shot against the bow of the world's superbike manufacturers, and based on RideApart's social media channels, everyone was watching.

But we haven't seen neither hide nor hair of the V4 SR-RR since that fateful day in November. CFMoto has been hush about the project, debuting a host of other things throughout the Chinese brand's lineup. Well, consider that lull over, as not only do we have an update, but we have a full-on sneaky video taken in China of the V4 SR-RR getting ridden around a damn track.

And the motorcycle sounds absolutely bananas. There's also a panda mascot, and yeah, sure, why not.

The clip comes from what appears the motorcycle's first public outing since EICMA, but one that's far more dynamic than the static display at the conference hall. According to our friends at Visordown, "The all-new V4 SR-RR debuted in front of the Chinese crowds as part of the 2026 CFMoto Day," which was hosted at Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit. And, apparently, it was seen riding around the track, showing off what the bike will be and how it will sound.

But the clip above, the first presentation of it actually moving under its own V4 power, hot damn, does it sound spicy.

V4s have a very particular sound. The only way I can describe them is if you lopped half the cylinders off a stroked-out, high-revving, dry-sump LS7 V8 from Chevrolet. Mean, throaty, growly, and angry at your very existence. The first time I rode one was Ducati's Panigale V4 and I came away sweaty like I'd just...well, the story was for Playboy, so I'll let you fill in the rest of that sentence. And this CFMoto doesn't sound all-too different from the superbike from Borgo Panigale. In fact, it sort of sounds angrier, though it does have fewer ponies.

The CFMoto V4 SR-RR is set to debut fully sometime this year, and then go on sale next year as a 2027 model. Hopefully, we'll have more than shaky social media clips before then. Until that happens, though, watch this a few times and get stoked, cause this looks rad as hell. And that front aero? Keanu-Whoa-Dot-Gif.
