List of food items including prawns being recalled from SuperValu, Tesco, Dunnes and more

Irish shoppers are being warned to check their fridges and freezers after a number of food recall notices have been issued by the FSAI over food safety fears.

Any shops that stocked the impacted products will have point of sale notices posted in their store and will provide shoppers with refunds for returning any of the affected batches.

The FSAI said: “Food alerts are notifications issued by the FSAI to official agencies and food businesses or other businesses relating to an identified hazard i.e. a biological, chemical or physical agent in, or condition of, food/food contact materials with the potential to cause an adverse health effect."

Alfroase Biteku leaves

The batches of Afroase Biteku Leaves are being recalled due to the presence of the pesticide chlorpyrifos-ethyl (FSAI)

The above batches of Afroase Biteku Leaves are being recalled due to the presence of the pesticide chlorpyrifos-ethyl which is no longer approved for food use in the EU.

Although the consumption of the implicated batches of Afroase Biteku Leaves is unlikely to pose an immediate risk to health, continuous consumption of chlorpyrifos-ethyl over a long period of time may pose a potential risk to health.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches.

Centra King Prawns

Centra King Prawns (FSAI)

The above batches of Centra King Prawns are being recalled as they have been mislabelled with incorrect use-by dates.

The use-by dates stated on the labels are 16/07/2022 and 22/07/2022, however, the correct use-by dates are 16/06/2022 and 22/06/2022.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in Centra stores supplied with the implicated batches.

Glensallagh Glazed & Grilled American Style Cajun Shaved Ham

Some batches of Glensallagh Glazed & Grilled American Style Cajun Shaved Ham have been recalled over gluten allergy fears. The affected meat contains undeclared gluten making it unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten. The following batches have been recalled:

Delikatny Orzech Laskowy Pierniki z Nadzieniem Kremowym

The following batch of Gingerbreads with Hazelnut Cream Filling has undeclared almonds making it unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of nuts (almonds).

People have been warned against consuming the Delikatny Orzech Laskowy Pierniki z Nadzieniem Kremowym with pack size 150 g, best before date of 07/2022, and batch number: L1293147A.
