BENGALURU: A passenger was injured after liquor bottles were hurled by two miscreants at a KSRTC flybus near Silk market at Ramanagara early on Monday.
Officials said there were 17 passengers in the bus coming from Kempegowda International Airport to Mysuru.
A Devi Charan, a passenger, tweeted: “Two beer bottles came crashing into the flybus when it was moving near Ramanagara at 1.30am-2am. One passenger sitting at the window seat sustained minor injuries.”
Charan said they were later shifted to another KSRTC bus. “But there was no first-aid kit in the bus even to attend to the minor cuts. Shards of the glass fell on nearby seats where passengers were sleeping, including a 15-month-old baby," he said.
Charan said the bus left from KIA at 11.54pm on Sunday and was supposed to reach Mysuru at 3.53am but they finally arrived by around 5am.
A KSRTC official said: “Two drunken men were involved in the incident. They were on a bike and threw the bottle towards the bus by mistake. We informed police about them.”
BS Mohan Kumar, deputy superintendent of police (Ramanagara sub-division), said: “We have registered a case based on a complaint filed by KSRTC officials on Monday evening. The suspects will be nabbed soon.”
