Brisbane have celebrated coach Craig Starcevich's 100th AFLW game in style, cruising to a 68-point win over local rivals Gold Coast.

In-form forward Courtney Hodder kicked four goals as the Lions leapt to fourth on the ladder, triumphing 11.17 (83) to 2.3 (15).

The Suns, who have just one win this season and sit second-last, are yet to register a victory over their local rivals.

Brisbane could have won by far more, but for their inaccuracy around goal.

Two-time premiership coach Starcevich became the first coach to hit the ton.

In-form star Hodder also had 18 disposals and eight tackles to go with her haul of four, while Taylor Smith kicked three goals.

Defender Jade Ellenger had 10 disposals in the opening term and finished with 21 touches off half-back.

Ally Anderson racked up 29 disposals, while midfielder Belle Dawes (26 disposals, six clearances) and winger Sophie Conway (22 disposals and a goal) were prolific.

It was also Irish gun Orla O'Dwyer's 75th game and she collected 21 disposals as Brisbane snagged their third straight victory after a shaky start to the season.

"To come out on top and have a win for a milestone game is huge ... delighted to get the win and celebrate with the girls here today," O'Dwyer told Fox Sports.

For the Suns, Charlie Rowbottom collected 28 disposals and five clearances, while Lucy Single (18 disposals) and Lily Mithen (16 disposals) were busy.

Suns midfielder Annabel Kievit will come under match review officer scrutiny after she slammed Ruby Svarc into the ground after the Lion had run into an open goal.

Brisbane dominated early play but had little to show for it, kicking 0.4 before a wonderful end-to-end play was finished off by classy star Hodder.

The in-form Hodder dribbled through another shortly after to set Brisbane on their way and they led by 19 at the first change, with Gold Coast scoreless.

The Lions picked up where they left off in the second quarter, kicking four goals to Gold Coast's one, including a lovely snap from Conway, to lead by 40 at half-time.

The rest of the game was effectively a formality, with the Lions up by 45 at the final change before piling on three unanswered goals late in the final term.

The Suns travel to face Hawthorn in Frankston next Saturday, while Brisbane will host Port Adelaide.
