Linlithgow Rose's Scottish Cup tie with Championship side falls foul of weather

Linlithgow Rose's home Scottish Cup tie against Championship side Raith Rovers has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Temperatures this week across West Lothian often dipped into minus figures and despite the best efforts of the ground staff and volunteers, they were unable to ensure the surface at Prestonfield was playable.

The tie has been re-arranged for Tuesday with a 7.45pm kick-off. While that's weather permitting, temperatures are set to rise with highs of 11C on the day.

Tickets for today’s fixture will be valid for the rearranged fixture. Any supporter who is unable to attend the match should contact their ticket vendor for a refund.

Meanwhile, there are no plans for a pitch inspection at Ochilview where Livingston travel to face Stenhousemuir in their Scottish Cup tie.

Fixtures across West Lothian have been postponed with Armadale Thistle's East of Scotland Third Division derby clash at home to Fauldhouse United currently the only one still scheduled
