Linfield to pay tribute to Harry Gregg ahead of Crusaders game

Linfield will pay tribute to Harry Gregg OBE before Friday night's Danske Bank Premiership game against Crusaders.

The champions have confirmed there will be a minute’s applause prior to kick-off at Windsor Park in honour of the legendary Northern Ireland and Manchester United goalkeeper who passed away on Sunday.

Gregg started his football career with Linfield Swifts before going on to play for clubs including Coleraine, Doncaster Rovers and the Red Devils.

The 87-year-old also played 25 times for Northern Ireland and was named as top goalkeeper at the 1958 World Cup.
