Line of Duty to air record-breaking 29-minute AC-12 interview scene this weekend

It's the penultimate episode of series 6 of Line of Duty this weekend and as tensions rise, the longest-ever AC-12 interview will take place - lasting an incredible 29 minutes.

The BBC One drama is famous for screening tense interviews with officers from the anti-corruption unit and potentially bent coppers.

And the latest episode on Sunday, April 25 will feature an interview that lasts for 29 minutes and 22 seconds, which is the longest scene ever on the show, reports Birmingham Live.

It follows on from last week's episode of Jed Mercurio's drama which ended with an almighty cliffanger when police officer Kate Fleming was involved in a tense shoot out situation.

Kate, played by Vicky McClure, was seen brandishing a gun at young copper Ryan Pilkington.

Ryan, played by Gregory Piper, was heard yelling "For Christ's sake, Jo, you've set me up."

Ryan, a member of the organised crime group, had lured Kate there under the pretence of meeting her boss Jo Davidson, played by Kelly McDonald.

After the screaming was done, two gunshots rang out, and no-one knows who discharged their weapon first.

Adrian Dunbar, who plays fan favourite Ted Hastings on the show, was on Good Morning Britain this week.

Dunbar teased that Line of Duty fans - "hardcore" fans, anyway - know how Kate and Ryan's stand off will play out.

The final episode of Line of Duty series 6 is screened on BBC One on Sunday, May 2.
