Line Of Duty actor teases comeback for major character in final episode - could this be 'H'?

As the nation waits in suspense for the final episode of the Line of Duty, actor Martin Compston has thrown us another curveball.

Line Of Duty fans are wondering who the mysterious 'H' is - and Martin has placed another suspect into the mix.

Martin, who plays lead investigator DS Steve Arnott in the hit BBC drama, has shared a photo on social media of himself with DI Matthew 'Dot' Catton, also known as 'The Caddy' who was killed off in series four after being exposed as a corrupt copper.

"Looking forward to ep 6," tweeted Martin, and viewers wondered if this could mean Dot is back from the dead.

There has been speculation among viewers that the duplicitous character could still be alive, living under protection and could possibly be the corrupt high-ranking officer known as 'H.'

"Oh how you like to tease us all you’d better survive ep 6 and be in the next series...." one fan told Martin.

"Another urgent exit required for Dot?" wondered another.

Steve (Martin Compson), Hastings (Adrian Dunbar), Kate (Vicky McClure) (BBC)

"Told you the caddy would be back!!!" cheered another.

Another tweeted: "This is a bluff. No way you’d be allowed to reveal a spoiler like this."

And another said: "'Dot' Cotton is discovered alive and well during a shower scene. It was all a dream!"
