Lindsie Chrisley speaks out after being arrested on suspicion of DUI and attempting to elude police

Lindsie Chrisley has broken her silence after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Georgia over the weekend.

According to records viewed by People, the former Chrisley Knows Best star, 36, was arrested Saturday evening in Cherokee County for DUI less safe — which means an individual can be charged with driving under the influence even if their Blood Alcohol Content is below the legal limit of 0.08 percent — as well as attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving and speeding.

Lindsie, the daughter of reality TV star Todd Chrisley and his first wife, Teresa Terry, was booked into the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and released early Sunday morning after posting bond.

She spoke out about the incident Monday, telling TMZ: “I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two-lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was.”

Lindsie added that she “plans to fight the charge.”

The Cherokee County Jail confirmed Lindsie’s bail was set at $4,606 taking all charges into consideration.

Lindsie is the only daughter of Todd Chrisley and Teresa Terry, who also share a 34-year-old son, Kyle Chrisley. She appeared on Chrisley Knows Best with her father and their family, including his second wife, Julie Chrisley, for five seasons. However, Lindsie has had a complicated relationship with her father for over a decade, and she confirmed their estrangement during a November interview with OK! Magazine.

Todd and Julie were found guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans in 2022. They were released in May 2025 after being pardoned by President Donald Trump.

The Independent has contacted Todd and Julie Chrisley, and Lindsie’s half-sister, Savannah Chrisley, for comment.

Lindsie’s arrest comes a month after she filed a protective order against her ex-boyfriend, David Landsman, who was arrested for aggravated assault, strangulation and battery in April.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the pair were allegedly involved in an altercation after Landsman became verbally aggressive” over a photo he found on Lindsie’s phone. Landsman reportedly “apologized for his behavior once he confirmed the photo was of himself,” but later “became agitated and aggravated.”

He allegedly “strangled” Lindsie “multiple times,” and she punched him “near his eyebrow to get him to stop.” He then allegedly threw her outside, before she was able to leave his home.

Authorities met Lindsie at her house and examined “injuries on her neck and her head.” Neither Landsman nor Lindsie has publicly addressed these claims.

According to the protective order shared by TMZ earlier this month, Lindsie and Landsman agreed to a “mutual no contact order,” requiring them both to stay 500 yards away from each other, their homes and workplaces.
