Lil Wayne names LeBron James as GOAT over Bulls’ Michael Jordan

When Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan was in the NBA, he was the king of the world. He ruled the 1990s alongside Scottie Pippen, winning six championships in eight years and going 6-0 in the NBA Finals. The only two years Chicago failed to reach the Finals were when Jordan retired in an attempt to pursue a baseball career.

Some regard Jordan as the GOAT (greatest of all time), but LeBron James has a great case, too. The GOAT debate between Jordan and James is one of the most common basketball conversations out there. During a recent appearance on “All The Smoke,” rapper Lil Wayne gave his take on the matter.

According to Wayne, James is his GOAT, as he was able to reach the NBA Finals with three different teams throughout his career.

“I got old enough to know how hard it is to f****** do it back-to-back-to-back,” Wayne said. “So that’s where he [Jordan] got his respect with me, and started getting his respect with me to where he’s the greatest. … It’s very hard to do. Bron did that s*** with three teams.”

And while James may not have as many rings as Jordan, that doesn’t matter to Wayne.

“That right there… he ain’t got six, but he done it with three different teams,” said Wayne. “And not on one of those m************ teams did he play role two. That right there is what tipped him over the Jordan scale for me.”

The subjective argument will never be resolved, but Wayne made his opinion clear. And it’s one that almost every single Bulls fan will vehemently disagree with.
