Lidl, Tesco and Morrisons issue 'do not eat' warning for fish, fruit and more

Lidl, Tesco and Morrisons have issued urgent recalls due to safety fears.

The Food Standards Agency has issued warnings for fish, mango and more. In some cases, the products are a health risk due to the presence of salmonella.

When a product is recalled, the Food Standards Agency shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves. Anyone with any of the below items should visit their nearest supermarket for a full refund or exchange.

Lidl - mackerel

Lidl has asked customers not to eat one of their fish products due to Listeria contamination.

Eridanous Greek Style Smoked Mackerel Fillet with Olives and Oregano with Soy Oil has been recalled because Listeria monocytogenes have been found in the product. Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.

Some people are more vulnerable to Listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.
