Lidl is now doing a crème brûlée ice cream - but it won't be on sale for long

While most hybrid food fills us with fear, Lidl has just launched one that we're more than happy to get on board with.

Combining two dessert classics together, the discount German retailer is about to start selling a crème brûlée ice cream complete with caramel sauce drizzle.

And being Lidl, it doesn't cost a fortune either, setting you back £1.99 for the 850ml tub.

Launching in stores tomorrow (Thursday 4th July), sadly, the crème brûlée ice cream will only be available for a week maximum, as it's part of Lidl's French week.

The unique flavour transforms the classic creamy, custard-y and burnt-sugar pudding into an ice-cold summer snack, with an extra drizzle of caramel sauce to finish it off.

If you want to get your hands on it though you'll need to hurry up, as we can't find the same flavour ice-cream at any other shop right now.

If you do miss out, the closest thing we can spot is a Monin crème brûlée syrup, which sells on Amazon for £10.52 per litre , which you could try drizzling over your usual favourite flavour ice cream.
