Liam Manning delivers Bolton Wanderers verdict & gives injury update on ex-Chelsea midfielder

Liam Manning believes Bolton Wanderers will provide his MK Dons side with a 'tough game' and is under no illusions of the challenges Ian Evatt's men pose them.

Wanderers make the trip to Stadium:MK tomorrow evening as action resumes in the EFL. Matches were postponed for last weekend as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Whites head to take on the Dons sitting eighth in the table and just outside the play-offs. Last season's third-placed side meanwhile are 18th in the table in these early stages of the campaign.

Manning knows that it will be a challenge taking on the Whites with the quality they possess. It is a clash he and his team are looking forward to.

He told the MK Citizen : “They're a big club with big history and will provide us with a tough game. They've got a lot of quality in their side, they will be well-organised and we know it will be hard.

“With that volume of games we had, to suddenly have that period off, and especially after Exeter, we're really looking forward to.”

Josh McEachran appears to be nearing a comeback for the Dons. He has not featured since the opening day of the season against Cambridge United.

The former Chelsea midfielder played a practice match behind closed doors over the weekend. He is nearing a return to action after coming through it well.

He said: “We played a practice game on Saturday and Josh took part - he has been in full training for a period now, he just needs building up. He is close, and in a good spot.

“(He will bring) not only the composure and calmness he has, but ultimately his quality. He is so key in build-up for us and how we play.

"His understanding and quality are so good, so having him back will be a huge boost for the group.”
